The lens that came with my nikon is a 28-70mm.  28mm is not all that wide and my peleng 8mm is too wide for taking stills of homes (my side business).  Being that I'm still a neophyte in dslr's, I'm not sure how much the 18mm ~ 28mm difference would make (I'm thinking of buying an 18-55mm or an 18-70mm lens).  Anyone have some comparison shots that would show the amount of difference I would see?  Thanks zB -- Someone said the Big Man may be joining us soon But I never was the type to hang with the harbingers of doom And this party is addictive, self-destructive, no doubt So I hope that someone saves a seat for me on the last plane out

Thanks Mary Jo, that's a pretty good article.  I'm wishing I would have had a wider lens now that I'm in Disney.....I also wish that I would've bought that camera/laptop backpack for this trip.   Funny story though, I went to one of the camera "outlets" here on the main drag outside the magic kingdom and was checking out backpacks.  They had one listed for $559.00.  Several prices changes later, they were trying to sell it to me for $100.00.  Too bad I didn't care for it. ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more -----

I learned WAY too much about the problems of sensor dust on a trip to Yellowstone when all my gorgeous landscape shots turned up with spots all over them! --- Mary Jo
