is this disgusting?
Well, it's only been twice this week. She refrained this morning. :) Maybe ** Private ** 06/20/07 02:47 P good think you're not sitting next to me while I fart and pick my nose ;) ** Private ** 06/20/07 12:54 P As someone who has been using public transportation for over 7 years now, I ** Private ** 06/20/07 01:11 P Yea, as a lot of people know, I am not scared of telling people what I think ** Private ** 06/20/07 02:17 P > As someone who has been using public transportation for over 7 years now, I ** Private ** 06/20/07 02:18 P Hell yea! I really do like it here a lot. It doesn't hurt that it has been ** Private ** 06/20/07 03:46 P I recently moved to a place where I have the option to take public transportation to work (company paid, too! woohoo!), and I'm talking advantage of it by taking the bus in to work. The past few days there has been a woman who has been trimming her nails on the ride in. The bus is quite full, with people sitting on both sides of her. I find this pretty disgusting, and am wondering if I am the only one.am I making a big deal out of this when it really is just my own personal hang-up? The people sitting on either side of her seem mildly annoyed, but certainly not disgusted. Would this gross any of you out? We're not talking about nail biting or using an emery board either. She has the clippers out and is clip-clip-clipping her way to work, snap snap snap! Fingernails dropping (or flying) on the floor, etc. -- Ray 2 things to this: Disgusting.. Yes Scared.. Definitely! If her nails grow that fast for her to clip them daily, I would be scared as hell. She refrained this morning. :) Maybe she's just eating a lot of protein. ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more ----- good think you're not sitting next to me while I fart and pick my nose ;) ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more ----- finger nails... eh, not so much, so long as flying shrapnel doesnt make it into my space. toe nails. GO HOME AND DO IT .:tw:. ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more ----- that's nothing! I clean my belly button lint out while on the bus. ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more ----- As someone who has been using public transportation for over 7 years now, I would find that disturbing and gross. Personal hygiene should be done at HOME, not in front of everyone. What if whoever is sitting next to her is consuming something and the nail gets in/on whatever it is they are consuming? Is this disgusting bitch going to pay them back for the food she ruined? I would guess that since she has no regard for anyone's feelings that she would not. She needs to do this at home period. Maybe you could fart next to her or pick your nose and flick the boogers towards her or belch near her? Then if she bitches, bring up her disgusting habit. Fingernails dropping (or flying) on the floor, etc. Yea, as a lot of people know, I am not scared of telling people what I think of them, and I was oh-so-close, then I heard a little voice inside my head saying "you have to ride this bus every day, don't piss everyone off in the first month" and I kept my yapper shut. I can't help but think that the rest of the passengers feel the same way, they are just doing the same thing as me and not speaking up for fear of being the angry guy/girl on the bus. My Boston/Northeast attitude is hard to deal with out here in "minnesota nice" land.... =) ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more ----- ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more ----- Replace "clipping nails" with "smoking a cigarette". It's hard enough to get someone to stop smoking near you, much less clipping their nails, but you are welcome to try. :) Person One: "Would you mind if I smoke?" Person Two: "Would you mind if I piss on your leg?" -Cameron > Bruce wrote: > As someone who has been using public transportation for over 7 years now, I > would find that disturbing and gross. +1. Hope the new job is going well! And hope you're liking your stay in Minne so far! Weather's been pretty nice! Hell yea! I really do like it here a lot. It doesn't hurt that it has been 80-90 and sunny pretty much since I've been here... :) ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more ----- Yes, it is disgusting, but I think your time will be better spent growing a thicker skin than trying to teach people on the bus manners. I suspect that if you continue riding the bus that within a year you will look back and this will be one of the least disgusting things you will remember having witnessed. -Cameron ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more -----
