I'm gonna get an iPhone!
Welp, momentum is likely to be on your side in the business environment! :) ** Private ** 06/21/07 11:07 A My manager just approved the expense to get an iPhone whenever they come out. There are three of us in the IT group that rotate getting a new phone. Luckily, it was my rotation and we normally get something that's cutting edge so that we can suggest or decline further purchases for the rest of the company. So right now, one guy's got an 8125, the other has a Blackjack, and I'm going to replace my smt 5600 finally. I've got a bet going with the other IT guys. They don't think it's going to operate like it does in the commercials (smooth animations, page turning effects, etc.) I think they've just been using Window mobile for too long :) ...What does the iPhone have to do with business though? I mean I know it's cool, but how did you spin it for business compared to the Blackjack or another smartphone for example? :) > purchases for the rest of the company. Better go to your local apple store and bribe someone, try to get them to take an pre-order or let you put down a deposit - or you won't be getting one. http://www.break.com/index/japanese-tetris.html ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more ----- > http://www.break.com/index/japanese-tetris.html Who needs XBox 360 when you got that Japanese Tetris!!! As for the iPhone, its cool and all but it is a consumer product. I've heard the Weber Genesis are good. Don't need nothin' fancy, just something with even heat that can maybe do a turkey or chicken occasionally (non-spit). I'd like the spit and smoker, but $1500?? Dang ..., that's down pipes for the car money. Or an Alaska cruise. And really I just need to cook burgers and steak mostly. So I'm thinking $500 or less. Welp, momentum is likely to be on your side in the business environment! :) ""iPhones can be used for email, but many businesses [1]don't plan to sync them with internal systems used to power Blackberries and Microsoft mobile devices. Employees eager to use the cool new gadget, however, may pressure IT departments to support iPhones even if it means incurring more costs and changing policies. The WSJ reports: 'Incompatible technology has become an increasing problem for businesses as hand-held email and phone devices are evolving into minicomputers that can do such things as download music, take pictures and surf the Web. In the past, businesses have been unwilling to support certain devices, like those with cameras, for instance, because of concerns employees could use them to document company secrets. But these tensions would be magnified if the iPhone is as popular as Apple is hoping and some analysts expect.'" so maybe i'm not getting an iPhone. It seems that AT&T and Apple decided that you can't use one with a business account and you won't be able to buy one without getting an individual account. That blows! So now I'm trying to figure out the reasoning for this. ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more ----- > So now I'm trying to figure out the reasoning for this.
