Leaked Bush speech
I agree, while I don't agree with a lot of his (Cheney's) policies. If ** Private ** 07/24/08 02:57 P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVIfpEtq8gw "An ABC-TV outlet in Houston, and now the Houston Chronicle, have posted a video taken at a political fundraiser for Pete Olson, featuring George W. Bush last week -- capturing some embarrassing/revealing moments after, he noted, he had asked cameras to be turned off. The first moments form the July 18 event find him speaking almost incoherently in admitting, for once, that his friends in big business had screwed up: "There's no question about it. Wall Street got drunk -- that's one of the reasons I asked you to turn off the TV cameras -- it got drunk and now it's got a hangover. The question is how long will it sober up and not try to do all these fancy financial instruments."" Just can't trust anyone these days! I don't know that that video is embarrassing in any way. His press people should get the entire country to see him like that. Comfortable. Honest. Funny. His approval numbers might even double. (to 20%? lol!) Now all of a sudden he's saying they don't. He essentially just turned his back on 30 years of republican theory AND blamed the failure on Wall Street saying they neglected to regulate themselves. So he basically kicked the rich and most of the republicans in the nuts. But, yeah, I don't think that would bother most Americans. Just the rich ones. Which I suppose is the problem. his entire life? okay ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more ----- > Cam wrote: > his entire life? okay > Good point. Until he was 5, George Sr. was moving his lips, but then when W was 5 he was able to do it on his own. Jeb started at 3. I think you can be a president without having to believe 100% of the policies of your party privately. I would think though that you have to be respectful of the parties platform though in public. It's nice to see that maybe he is not such a douche bag after all. Perhaps all the $$ people who got him the job in the first place are keeping the screws on him. Perhaps they have something on him *shrugs* who knows I always think a public person is different then the private person. I'm sure it's a tough road to walk. ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more -----
