"Would love to see those on this list who still support the policies of the GOP ** Private ** 04/27/12 12:01 P I see a bunch of democrats voted Aye as well Gellie, your bias is showing :) ** Private ** 04/27/12 12:45 P Those dems usually vote with Republicans...or at least most of them. Here's a list of the Sponsors and Co-Sponsors for SOPA. http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/D?d112:1:./temp/~bdLaVg:@@@P|/home/LegislativeData.php?n=BSS;c=112| Constant and consistent attacks on privacy and user rights. (btw..this is an AWESOME resource for tracking the political process. Maybe other countries have the same...but this really rocks :-) ) Here is a prettier view of the data http://www.govtrack.us/congress/votes/112-2012/h192?herp=derp "Would love to see those on this list who still support the policies of the GOP explain why CISPA was a good law to pass and for the GOP to support." I don't support either party. If I were to guess, I'd say it's because they suck. Then again, maybe it was just the Republicans turn to submit this type of legislation. I would like for someone who supports the Democrats to explain why most of SOPA supporters were Democrats, including Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chair of the DNC, Barbara Boxer, and Harry Reid. Fortunately, the majority of both parties turned out against this one (after a little agitation by the nation). If at first you don't succeed, try, try, again. J - Ninety percent of politicians give the other ten percent a bad reputation. - Henry Kissinger Politicians are people who, when they see light at the end of the tunnel, go out and buy some more tunnel. - John Quinton Don't we call that bi-partisan? ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more ----- I see a bunch of democrats voted Aye as well Gellie, your bias is showing :) Anyway, lets see what the democrat in the white house does with it. ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more ----- Those dems usually vote with Republicans...or at least most of them. I think they should be strung up as well. The fact is that the majority is republicans and a majority (if not all republicans) voted for it. This is definitely in the realm of a republican bill that had some help from blue dog democrats. Eric ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more ----- Bipartisan is when a majority of both parties vote for it. Not all one side and a few on the other. I never considered that bipartisan...even when the Dems tried to pull that with the healthcare reform. That wasn't any more bipartisan than this. ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more -----
