Permissions issue on OSX Lion
Are you installing using the command line? Just put 'sudoku' before the command you are running, ie 'sudo installer -install' ** Private ** 06/02/12 11:35 A Actually I just figured it out a few minutes ago. My password for my machine was blank. I changed it to actually have a password and now it installed fine. Got MySQL going with MySQL Workbench, CF 10 and CF Builder 2. Ready to start working again. ** Private ** 06/02/12 11:38 A Ah yes, I was just about to suggest that you NOT try to learn the command ** Private ** 06/02/12 11:47 A Hello everyone, So I am trying to install CF Server on my new MACBook pro that has OSX Lion on it. When I try to install CF Server I am told that the user account (my account) does not have sufficient permissions to create a folder on the system. Where can I go go change my permissions to admin level? Thanks, Bruce Are you installing using the command line? Just put 'sudoku' before the command you are running, ie 'sudo installer -install' If you are installing from a GUI, the system should ask you for your password at some point. -Cameron On Jun 1, 2012, at 7:54 PM, Bruce Sorge <sorgeb@gmail.com> wrote: ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more ----- Actually I just figured it out a few minutes ago. If it's just a ocasional usage the Workbench will do you right. -Cameron ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more -----
