Well, I guess Wisconsin will remain one of the only states where a non-governmental entity cannot apply a state sanctioned tax on worker's incomes. Aside from all the political funding bullshit, that's kinda nice. -Cameron ...

"Well, I guess Wisconsin will remain one of the only states where a non-governmental entity cannot apply a state sanctioned tax on worker's incomes. Aside from all the political funding bullshit, that's kinda nice." As a consequence . . . Wisconsin's second-largest union, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, had membership fall to 28,745 in February from 62,818 in March 2011,.  The organization?s Afscme Council 24 fell to 7,100 from 22,300 . If unions are so great, why haven't they  proven their worth to their potential and former members? Big difference in writing a check or having it automatically withdrawn. There would be riots in the street if payroll deduction were removed from checks.  Imagine paying in cash and then immediately saying give me back 30% of the cash to pay taxes. J - Those politicians, professors and union bosses who curse big business are fighting for a lower standard of living. - Ludwig von Mises

I didn't know it finally went though. I think that would be good - riots in the streets means that people are actually paying attention to how much the government taxes out of your paycheck. Payroll taxes should be way more obvious to people, including the hidden "employer" portions. -Cameron ...

"riots in the streets means that people are actually paying attention to how much the government taxes out of your paycheck" There have been toned down version with the Tea Party and OWS.  It seems like they lost their focus rather quickly though. Can't wait to see the protest at the DNC later this summer.  That'll be an eye opener. J - Ninety percent of politicians give the other ten percent a bad reputation. - Henry Kissinger Politicians are people who, when they see light at the end of the tunnel, go out and buy some more tunnel. - John Quinton
