"What's wrong with these provisions?  If it prevents Koney from killing a few more hundred innocents why not?" Kony?  Really?  The scam lives on. "Seriously how many children have to sacrificed on your altar to the 2nd Amendment?" If something like this were in place 250 years ago, there wouldn't be a 2nd Amendment since France, the Netherlands, and Spain provided arms throughout the war. If something like this were in place 70 years ago, then Europe might be speaking German today (which might happen soon anyway).  Take the whole "Lend/Lease" program which provided weapons to the UK, France, Russia, China, and so on.  It was started before the US entered the war. Then of course, there is Israel.  It probably wouldn't exist either.  That would really make the UN happy. I think everyone would agree that arms are ending up in places we don't like, but the corrupt UN is not the solution in fixing this. J - Ninety percent of politicians give the other ten percent a bad reputation. - Henry Kissinger Politicians are people who, when they see light at the end of the tunnel, go out and buy some more tunnel. - John Quinton

"Dude, I agree that the Justice Dept lackey was way out of line and deserves a smack down (presuming that what was quoted actually happened of course)." How about fired? " I'm really unhappy about the DOJ but, honestly, I'd say that overall things are better now than they were 8 years ago. " Really?  Wow.  I find that amazing. I believe this quote trumps anything from 8 years ago: Due process and judicial process are not one and the same, particularly when it comes to national security. The Constitution guarantees due process, not judicial process. - Eric Holder J - I think myself that we have more machinery of government than is necessary, too many parasites living on the labor of the industrious. - Thomas Jefferson
