Being in the business we're in, sometimes we have to give in and allow these flesh peddlers to work for us... the good and the bad. I have been in the running for a few jobs in the past few years and have accepted a job recently... all being represented by a few recruiters. I have been represented by a recruiter named Robert Commons, from TRIAD PERSONNEL (Orlando).  Once we established what kind of two way communication we both expected, things were great.  Robert kept me informed throughout the process... even when the news was bad.  So, thanks Robert. More recently, I want to thank Patty Conner from Kforce in Tampa.  She got my most recent position.  There were some last minute changes to the whole deal and she kept me informed within minutes of the happenings.  I feel pretty confident that she would have been responsive even if I didn't get the job.  Thanks Patty. There are so many bad recruiters out there... but, I never wrote down any of the names.  Hopefully with my new position I won't need a recruiter for a few years. If you need any contact info for the above recruiters.. let me know. Rob Reno rob_reno (at) hotmail

I definitely agree with your assessment of Patty Conner.  I have worked with her, tho' never gotten a position through her.  The times I worked with her on open positions, she was upfront and honest and very responsive.  Wish there were more like her around.
