Hello!
Cold Fusion Gelato is looking for highly motivated, mature,
customer-service oriented staff who enjoy working with others this
summer in the heart of downtown Newport, RI! We receive over 100
applicants each year to fill a handful of staffing availabilities
because we are a great seasonal place to work and we pride ourselves
in hiring people who make coming to work fun!
Serving gelato IS fun, but that doesn't mean it's easy. The ideal
candidate will possess these qualities and perform these duties:
-Complete product knowledge! This means being able to memorize over
150 flavors of gelato and sorbet and describe them in mouth-watering
detail, with enthusiasm, to customers.
-Work hard and happy, no exceptions. You must come to work early (aka
on-time) every day with a great attitude, take direction, and do your
part!
-Doing your part is sometimes messy. You will be asked to scrub the
garbage, mop floors, clean dishes, clean the bathroom, etc.
-Must be physically able to be on your feet for up to 8 hour shifts
(with appropriate breaks) and lift up to 30 lbs, for restocking.
-Complete barista training and learn to serve excellent espresso drinks.
-You MUST MUST MUST be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. We
are a seasonal business, open from May-November this year, and our
busiest times are nights, weekends, and holidays. If you cannot commit
to being available during these times this summer, please do not
apply.
Additional Information:
*We prefer you have prior experience in the food industry business,
but this is not required.
*We will also be hiring at least one supervisor. You must have
previous supervisory experience to qualify for this position.
