ColdFusion Web Application Developer - Vancouver (BC)

Vancouver (BC)-based Suite101 is looking for a full-time ColdFusion web
application developer to join our dynamic team of technical, editorial, and
management professionals in evolving the site to deliver original expert- and
reader-generated content through innovative and industry-forward features, tools,
navigation, and information architecture.
Job Description:
• Develop web applications to improve interactivity, usability, and content
delivery
• Create, maintain and upgrade software for new and existing site features
• Improve website and database architecture
• Contribute to product strategy and company directives
Required Skills:
• 3-5+ years experience working in ColdFusion environments
• Excellent development skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; Ajax and XML
beneficial
• High level experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Ability to work in a cross-platform environment (Microsoft and Linux)
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in a related field strongly preferred
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills
• Able to generate and communicate ideas effectively and creatively
• A thorough appreciation of the current Web culture and user preferences
• Diligent, professional, reliable, fun-loving personality that thrives on
working with a small team to deliver quick results
• Work permit for Canada
Compensation:
