The University of British Columbia’s Business Operations department is looking for an experienced ColdFusion developer to join our group as a Senior Systems Analyst/Programmer.  UBC Business Operations is a unit comprising of 5 departments; UBC Bookstore, Food Services, Supply Management, Campus Security and Parking & Access Control. In addition to these 5 departments, there are 3 groups that work at large across the unit: Finance, Human Resources and Strategic Initiatives and Systems.   Currently we have 2 full time programmers that work together and independently on a variety of projects across our portfolio.  We are looking for someone who has a broad range of development and systems skills to bring to the position.  The position requires research and analysis of evolving business technologies and systems; developing, programming and implementing custom software application; identifying opportunities to further improve and expand existing programs; developing and implementing policies and functional procedures for new systems. Skills essential to this position include: Coldfusion,  MS SQL Server, Oracle 10g, exposure to .Net, ASP and LAMP environments a plus. Additionally we are looking for someone with strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a commitment to quality and an ability to deliver on time.   Come work at UBC, where snow-capped mountains meet ocean.
