Sr ColdFusion Developer / Oracle DBA - Bethesda, MD

Digicon Corporation, established in 1985, is a full-service Information
Technology Integrator and Provider servicing Network Engineering and Software
Development to both government and commercial customers. Digicon employs
approximately 300 employees throughout the Washington metropolitan area, as well
as several other major cities across the nation.
We are currently in search for a Sr. Web Developer/Oracle DBA for a position
based at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD. In particular,
this work is with the NIH's National Institute of General Medical Sciences
(NIGMS).
Position Description:
Act as a senior developer in software development efforts; Develop web
applications using ColdFusion to run on an Oracle backend; Responsible for the
design, development, unit-testing and maintenance of web applications; Serve as
backup for full-time Oracle DBA.
Position Requirements:
5+ years experience developing web applications in ColdFusion with experience
developing ColdFusion Components in MX; Deep knowledge of MS-SQL Server & Oracle
databases; Experience in software/application design; Experience with ColdFusion
frameworks (e.g., Model-Glue); Experience in writing SQL statements; Strong
written and verbal communication skills; Strong analytical and problem solving
skills; Experience in Oracle database administration and data modeling;
Experience with data warehouse concepts/implementations.
Desired Skills:
ColdFusion MX 7/8, Oracle 9i/10g, JavaScript, Object-oriented design and
development, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), XML, conceptual data modeling.
