This is a contract position that will go through Februa= ry and our client is looking to hire ASAP Note: ColdFusion/ActionScript3 are a must Programmer/Analyst Programmer Analyst is responsible for optimizing an existing= website through identifying and rectifying performance issues at the ColdF= usion, Flash/ActionScript3, Javascript and API levels. =20 The Programmer Analyst will also be expected to thrive in a = fast-paced environment in which she/he is able to quickly adapt to a common= IDE (such as Eclipse or DreamWeaver) and version control system (Subversio= n) They should be familiar with Apache web server and SQL Serve= Though modifications to server settings and/or SQL code is n= ot an anticipated need, the ideal candidate will be able to troubleshoot pe= rformance bottlenecks which may possibly be ascribed to Apache and RDBMS is= sues (e.g. caching issues, slow queries, etc). They should in addition be c= onversant with optimizing site speed through use of a content delivery netw= ork, specifically Akamai This position requires someone able to =E2=80=9Chit the grou= nd running=E2=80=9D. The balance of Flash/AS to ColdFusion coding is expect= ed to be 70%-30% but may evolve over time. In addition to the optimization = efforts, this candidate will be expected to create very lightweight CMS too= ls for site content management moving forward.=20 This position will have knowledge of departmental procedures= and standards and adhere to them when performing assigned tasks.  The Prog= rammer Analyst will interact with Client Developers as well as contacts in = the e-commerce group. Qualifications 2-3 years hands of ColdFusion and ActionScript experience necessary.=20 Bachelors Degree and/or related experience=20 Understanding of fundamental application development concepts, including ex= perience as a project team member.=20 Ability to handle multiple priorities with tight deadlines.=20 Off hours support may be required; hours are negotiable.
