WORK STATUS:
• Candidates must be US Citizens or Green Card holders.
LOCATION:
• Work location may be either Billerica, MA or Portsmouth, RI at candidate
choice.
JOB FUNCTION:
This position is for a Microsoft Analysis Services Developer with work location
at Billerica, MA or Portsmouth, RI at candidate choice. The developer will work
closely with the development team and business analysts to implement OLAP cubes
for analysis of network and software assets. The right candidate will have a
combination of extensive MS Analysis Services experience, excellent SQL skills,
and good C# development skills. Experience deploying cubes into Microsoft
SharePoint 2007 portal is highly desirable.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
• 3-5 years of multi-dimensional data (OLAP) modeling and/or BI Reporting
experience
• 1-2 solid years experience developing reporting solutions using Microsoft
Analysis Services.
• Strong experience designing and creating complex MS OLAP cubes, including
application of dimension maps spanning multiple fact types within the same cube.
• Excellent understanding of and recommendations for end user cube consumption
tools, including but not limited to Excel, Office Web Component, ProClarity,
Reporting Services.
• Strong skills in applying use-based optimizations to AS cubes.
• Strong skills in analyzing, troubleshooting reporting issues and system outages
within the SQLServer DB and AS environments.
• Superior knowledge and experience with SQLServer, T-SQL.
• Strong database SQLServer programming skills including the ability to write
complex queries, stored procedure, and functions.
• Strong design skills with proven track record of we-- Strong communications,
teamwork, and problem-solving skills are necessary. Ability to interact and
communicate well with business partners and technology teams is required.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
• Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services
• Experience in MS Integration technologies (DTS or SSIS)
• Experience in web technologies: JavaScript, XML, XSL, HTML, DHTML, CSS, AJAX.
• Experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, especially in creating stored procedures.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Microsoft certification (MCP for any .Net area).
PREREQUISITES FOR THIS POSITION:
• Candidates must have with a minimum of 3 years-related experience. Degree in
• Computer Science or related field is highly desirable.
