Senior ColdFusion Web Developer (Front & back end) + Private Medical Insurance
Full-service integrated marketing agency specialising in digital marketing.
Servicing a wide range of clients across many business sectors, both B2B and B2C.
Based in Surrey they have asked that I find their new Star.
Reporting to the Head of Digital, the candidate will work in and lead the
development team, managing and developing the technical requirements for a busy
agency servicing both blue chip and SME clients.
The team delivers a wide range of digital output including websites, online tools
and Flash apps and manages hosting (via a hosting partner) and domains for many
of its clients. Providing SEO and Social Media campaigns for a wide range of
clients.
Role Break down:
-Senior website developer for front and back end reporting to the Head of Digital
-Managing the output of a small team of developers, reviewing code and providing
feedback
-Taking responsibility for all client sites and their updating and maintenance
requirements across a range of bespoke and CMS built platforms
-Creating new websites using a mix of methods including CMS, frameworks and fully
bespoke
-Collaborate with all stakeholders, recommend improvements and maintain high
standards Ensuring that the team continues to innovate and management is kept
aware of latest technologies and opportunities
-Responsible for the research and prototyping of new technologies and strategies
for incorporation into our standard offerings
-Attend meetings with clients and prospective clients from time to time.
Experience
You will be a team player with at least 5 years of experience in building
creative and complex websites and will be able to work well under pressure and to
established timescales. Your skill set will be up-to-date and wide.
This is a great role for anyone keen to learn as well as developing their career
further in this fast-moving industry. The successful candidate will also be
expected, over time, to be able to cover for the Head of Digital in his absence.
Required Technical Skills
A high level of understanding an experience of Server side technologies
including:
-CFML (Adobe ColdFusion 8+ / Railo 3) or the desire and ability to learn quickly
-MySQL
A high level of understanding an experience of Front end technologies including:
XHTML/HTML5, Javascript, AJAX and Javascript frameworks (jQuery,
-Scriptaculous/Prototype.js)
-CSS 1/2/3
Server administration skills;
Windows 2003Server
IIS6
Adobe ColdFusion server
Railo / Tomcat
FTP server
SMTP
Desirable Skills
Adobe AIR / Flash
ASP Classic / PHP / MSSQL
SSL / DNS knowledge
SEO (on-site)
