I am currently in search for an Application Developer in downtown Chicago. This

Application Developer
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and talented developer for a contract
position to develop applications with their Corporate Partnerships team.. In this
role, you will execute and code designs and maintain and update existing web
applications. You will work closely with cross functional teams comprised of
Designers, Developers, DBAs, Project Managers, Business Owners and Executive
Management.
Responsibilities:
· Execute and code web applications utilizing ColdFusion, Java, SQL and
other web application technologies
· Maintain and update existing web applications
· Estimate project length and communicate daily status with team
· Code for multiple browsers and unit test work
· Follow best practice development standards and processes
· Work on multiple projects simultaneously
Requirements:
In general, this position requires an understanding of online application
systems, databases, a working knowledge of systems analysis, and an ability to
organize tasks. Specific requirements:
· Experience developing with Coldfusion
· Experience with MS SQL or MySQL – ability to create stored procedures,
join tables
· Exposure to different JavaScript frameworks (jQuery preferred),
understanding of appropriate uses
· 3+ years of web application development experience
· Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics or
related field
· Familiarity with Agile application development methodologies
· Must have very strong communication skills
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS - nice to have:
· Experience with JSON
· Knowledge with SVN (Subversion)
· Knowledge of Hudson/Continuous integration technologies
· Technical Writing and strong documentation skills
