GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
This is an experienced Developer with 3+ years of experience developing and/or
supporting large scale web applications. The Application Support Engineer will be
a member of the team that provides day-to-day support on Equator production
environment. As an Application Support Engineer you will have the opportunity to
learn new functionality/product code on a daily basis which will further present
an opportunity to influence product changes and custom solutions throughout our
software application. You will be working with a team of energized and driven
support engineers who has deep knowledge of our products and clients.
Additionally, this role is responsible for problem management, capacity planning
and maintaining all production environments including application builds and
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interact with various internal teams to determine the nature of problems, isolate
and drive issues to resolution. Acts as an escalation point for customer support
to diagnose and resolve complex application/systems issues. Exercise judgment
within defined standard policies and procedures to analyze application/systems
issues to determine the cause of the problem and then collaborate with others to
resolve the issue in a timely matter. Validate resolution of issues by any means
necessary (i.e. replication of problem reported and solution), and analyze
solution for accuracy and completeness. Recommend changes in support practices,
maintenance and standards, and cross-training required to better share support
responsibilities across the team and with the solution owners. Maintain the
knowledge base for support requests and service catalog for various services
provided by technology to end customers. Lead the effort to identify common
support/service requests and identify opportunities for improvements.
3+ Years in Development / Production support / Configuration management
BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or other technical field.
Extensive experience in production support, software engineering and/or
Experience must include work with SQL Server as a developer; and work with Web
Excellent analytical, problem solving and debugging skills
Effective and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work well with various teams, internal and external customers.
Ability to relay complex technical information/solutions to appeal to a variety
Ability to work in a fast paced company
Ability to adapt easily to new system/policy/procedural changes
Ability to work independently in a team environment with minimal supervision,
