Platinum HR Management is a New York based provider of health care staffing and payroll-related services to a variety of Skilled Nursing Facilities in various national locations. We have expanded our operations to Los Angeles, and we are seeking a Junior Developer / Help Desk Support Technician to join our team. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone looking to get in on the ground floor of a company experiencing rapid growth. The candidates primary duties and responsibilities will include: <ul><li>Perform development & modifications to existing Web Pages, SQL & Applications <li>Create/Maintain Reports using Cognos <li>Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and support of applications <li>Perform general maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and repairs to computer systems <li>Perform basic computer hardware and software installations <li>Customize desktop hardware to meet end user specifications and company standards <li>Document procedures and troubleshooting steps</ul> All candidates must meet the following requirements: <ul><li>Minimum of one year experience in Web Development (HTML & Coldfusion preferred) <li>Minimum of two years experience writing SQL <li>Minimum of one years using Cognos <li>Minimum of two years experience in helpdesk support or equivalent <li>Understanding of IT principles and terminology <li>Experience in system troubleshooting and working with servers, specifically Windows Server 2000/2003, Terminal Server, Windows XP / Vista / 7 <li>Able to effectively communicate orally and in writing technical information to non-technical audiences <li>Ability to work in a fast pace, ever-changing environment and multi-task effectively <li>Familiar with windows domain structure, Active Directory</ul> The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: <ul><li>AA/AS/BS/BA degree in IT, Computer Science, or other related field from an accredited college or university <li>MCP, A+ <li>Basic understanding of Windows Server and associated administration <li>Ability to anticipate, identify and resolve problems <li>Ability to operate with minimal supervision <li>Flexibility to work longer hours as needed <li>Able to manage time effectively, set priorities appropriately, schedule calls <li>Able to maintain professional demeanor under stress</ul> We offer a competitive compensation, a stable environment and a wonderful work/life balance.
