In-house web developer position for a small design & development firm in
Sacramento.
We work on everything from sophisticated web applications to integrating great
design into a corporate CMS. We are also starting to develop mobile app sites as
well.
Candidate would possess strong front-and back-end development experience. The
versatile developer is equally capable of producing standards-based, semantic
markup, writing reusable, object oriented code, or crafting custom Wordpress or
Drupal themes with the same high level of quality and attention to detail.
The developer is a conceptual thinker, interested in the web as a medium for
narrative and able to apply his or her technical expertise to those means while
collaborating effectively with our creative director/designer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
? Work with creative director to collaborate on websites, web applications and
mobile sites
? Creating databases and frameworks for websites, web applications and mobile
sites
? Occasional meetings with clients to define project requirements
CRITICAL SKILLS
? Must be able to hand code HTML and CSS
? Proficiency using open-source CMS (Wordpress and/or Drupal) is a must
? Fluency in PHP, MySQL and jQuery / JavaScript
KEY UNDERSTANDING OF THE FOLLOWING
? PHP
? JavaScript
? JQuery
? HTML (HTML 5 is a plus)
? CSS (CSS 3 is a plus)
? XML
? MYSQL
? Wordpress and Wordpress Plugins
? Adobe Dreamweaver
? Ruby on Rails knowledge (a plus)

? ColdFusion Programming
? Classic ASP / VB
? AJAX (Java Interactivity)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
? At least 3+ years of in-depth real world experience
? Ability to manage time sensitive projects through to completion
? Ability to problem-solve
? Self disciplined and motivated
This is an in-house position part time position that could quickly develop into a
