ColdFusion Linux (CF-Linux)
linux ColdFusion crash/hang detection / restart shell script?
Hey folks,Terry Ford 05/28/07 03:15 P > Hey folks,Wil Genovese 06/01/07 12:28 A Hey folks, Our CF doesn't crash or hang very often (once every 6 months or so), but I've been meaning to make a shell script (cron) to detect such a state and restart the server should it detect that the server isn't processing templates. Just one less thing to worry about. It would be a script that runs once an hour, checks to make sure CF is processing requests, and if not, stops CF, kills any CF processes, and restarts it. So before I do any work on this, I was wondering if anyone already had such a script already that does this sort of thing that they'd be willing to share. Regards, Terry ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more ----- I've already done this. I tried replying to this post but ended up creating a new post. Check that out and get back to me if your interested. Wil Hi all, I got sever requests for the script and I am sorry for taking so long to get it out to you. About the time your requests came in my request for a new computer system at work came through and I've been re-installing and transferring files, settings etc since then. I'll try to get this out this evening or Tuesday morning. Thanks for your patience. Wil
