ColdFusion Newbie looking for AMF tutorials / toolsHi there I just yesterday installed CF8 locally, so this is all very new to me. I have extensive ASP experience but that technology kinda died long ago. (good) Then I have been using PHP and especially AMFPHP for some time. PHP is great but it has some limitations - and especially when it comes to connecting to MS SQL Server. So thats where CF comes in and so much from what I learned so far. I used the CF Flex Wizard and it connected to our Enterprise MS SQL server (+35.000 tables) without any problems, no funny characters etc. all that was just working perfectly. Now I need the CF/AMF crashcourse. I will ONLY be using CF as a Flex backend (for now that is, gotta learn all those cool pdf tricks etc.) So my basic question is: Is there a ready made CF solution that I can use, like AMFPHP, where I basicly only need to enter my sql querys and then connect. Free or Commercial If not - what is the route to a quick start, getting to know CF and use it for Flex. I hope that I didnt miss some obvious stuff - I bet I did, just couldnt google any tutorials on this - only old ones that is. Thanks for your time and help in this matter. Mark |
