Report Builder, but if you can afford it Crystal Reports is by far the best product on the market. If not then you could look into Jasper. -- Regards, Andrew Scott WebSite: http://www.andyscott.id.au/ Google+: http://plus.google.com/108193156965451149543 ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more -----

No, you need one license on the server. If you are referring to Crystal Reports. ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more ----- -- Regards, Andrew Scott WebSite: http://www.andyscott.id.au/ Google+: http://plus.google.com/108193156965451149543

Yes, Not 100% sure CF Report Builder will do exporting to excel as I don't use it much. But Crystal Reports depending on the version you buy, you will need to write a wrapper. I wrote one many years ago for CR8/9 but 10+ went away from com objects. Jasper is written in Java, and is what is baked into ColdFusion 7/8/9 Another thing that comes to mind is that Microsoft as part of their Visual Studio allows you to write Crystal Reports, not 100% sure on the license but I am sure you can use the license to create an application to use / distribute. But where I am leading there is that you can write a .Net library to accept what params you need and use it to generate the report. I wrote a wrapper for .Net back in the days before ColdFusion went 64bit, and I can't recall if I put this into my asreports on riaforge or not. ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more -----

Crystal Reports is the devil's spawn.  I would never recommend it to a beginner. Report Builder is more than adequate for most reports. On Thu, Oct 6, 2011 at 7:55 AM, Andrew Scott <andrews@andyscott.id.au> wrote: ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more -----
