cftree problem

I am building a custom ColdFusion organization chart application using <cftree>.  When I launch Internet Explorer 5.5 I am getting the following error: "The certificate is expired - code will be treated as unsigned." The browser seems to load the java applet, initialize the applet, and then attempts to start the applet.  It doesn't like the <cftree> tag and appears to be looking in the CFIDE/classes/CFJava2.jar file when the error is thrown. Any ideas of how to update my certificate or any ideas in general? You may want to check some updated JAR files at Macromedia.
