Then you will need to recompile the mod_jrun module, details are in the docs -
you may need to get the box admin. to do this for you.

This is using apache 1.3.36 - I'm told that's the best choice for running a
cpanel box - I don't know personally, but the admin that set up the server said
that's the best combo.
The mod_jrun.so is the one for apache 1.3x from what I understand -
Also note, apache DOES start, and coldfusion seems to be running fine... I just
don't like to see an ugly error that I have no idea about... don't want to get
months down the road and the wheels fall off.
Still hoping someone has seen this and can point me in the right direction -
continuing to look around and haven't found anything that will explain it yet.

>Does RHEL4 not have Apache 2 yet ?
My newest install RH ES 4 Update4 was Apache/2.0.52
It looks like the mod_jrun he is trying to use is for 1.3 not 2.x

A little more info on this:
I followed the tutorial at:
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_19575
The error from the previous message seems to be because the entry was put inside
of one of the virtual host entries (don't know how I missed that). I moved it to
the end of the httpd.conf file and verified all the other steps from the link
above.
Restarted apache and CF and cfm templates are now working inside of virtual
sites. The only item left to fix is an error that was reported when I restarted
apache:
root@coronado [~]# service httpd start
[Mon Oct 9 00:10:23 2006] [warn] Loaded DSO
/var/coldfusionmx7/runtime/lib/wsconfig/1/mod_jrun.so uses plain Apache 1.3 API,
this module might crash under EAPI! (please recompile it with -DEAPI)
/etc/init.d/httpd start: httpd started
Any idea what that is? I thought mod_jrun.so was for all 1.3x versions of
apache?

I installed CF 7.0.2 on a brand new Red Hat E4 server running cpanel. Install
went fine with no reported errors using the default web server. After that, I ran
the apache_connector.sh script and received the following error:
root@coronado [/var/coldfusionmx7/bin/connectors]# ./apache_connector.sh
Server version: Apache/1.3.36 (Unix)
/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl restart: configuration broken, ignoring restart
Error running "/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl restart": exit code was 6
Error restarting Apache server. The web server must be restarted to complete
this operation.
/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl restart: (run 'apachectl configtest' for details)
Running the configtest showed the following:
root@coronado [/var/coldfusionmx7/bin/connectors]#
/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl configtest
Syntax error on line 1185 of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf:
LoadModule cannot occur within <VirtualHost> section
root@coronado [/var/coldfusionmx7/bin/connectors]#
Line 1185 in the httpd.conf file is:
LoadModule jrun_module /var/coldfusionmx7/runtime/lib/wsconfig/1/mod_jrun.so
Any ideas what this is and what a fix would be? I've looked all over and can't
find anything that seems to
relate...
