Hi all, I'm in dire need of ColdFusion 6.1.  We're migrating a server that currently runs ColdFusion 6.1 (Windows 2000) to a new server (Windows 2003), but we don't have the CF 6.1 installer so we can't install CF on the new server. We have a legit license, serial and CD for CF 6.0, however Adobe no longer provides the download for 6.1.  We don't have the $$ to upgrade to 7 or 8, so right now our only option is to somehow obtain the 6.1 installer. I've called Adobe, was on the phone for an hour+ and got nowhere.talked to 4 different people and no one would give me access to a download for 6.1. Does anyone have the 6.1 installer file still around?  I would be forever grateful for any help anyone can provide! Thanks in advance. Ross

Hey Ross - I'm having the exact some issue. I bought some new hardware and need to move coldfusion 6 over. I purchased coldfusion 7 since I couldn't find my media, but I'm having some issues with the code and do not have time to upgrade all the code. I do not have my coldfusion mx 6 media and really need to find it. I purchased the software long ago, but only have the product code in a file. Did you find anywhere to get it? Thanks! ~Nathanael

Might be a good moment to consider using the open source version of Blue Dragon. It should work for you in this case. http://www.newatlanta.com/products/bluedragon/open_source/announcement.cfm John Mason mason@fusionlink.com 770.337.8363 www.FusionLink.com - ColdFusion and Flex hosting Now offering VPS Plans running with VMware technology Now offering ColdFusion 8 Enterprise hosting FREE Subversion hosting This e-mail message and all attachments transmitted with it may contain legally privileged and/or confidential information intended solely for the use of the addressee(s). Thanks John - I've been on coldfusion for more than 6 years now. I tested blue dragon about 2 years ago, but really like coldfusion. ~Nathanael On Thu, Mar 27, 2008 at 5:45 PM, John Mason <mason@fusionlink.com> wrote: ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more -----

If I had a copy of the original install media, is it legal to burn a   copy to help if he has a legit license?   Is there problems with   such?   I have every version of CF since 3 archived. As long as you don't give him the serial number you should be good. After all, they included 6.0 discs in the CF books. On Thu, Mar 27, 2008 at 10:25 PM, Eric J. Hoffman <ehoffman@ejhassociates.com> wrote: ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more -----

Eric - That would be awesome. We've just lost our disks with transition and not enough control over who has acess. Macromedia used to offer the software on their site, but took it off after releasing 8.0 so it was never a worry about finding the media before. Let me know if you're comfortable sending it. Thanks! ~Nathanael On Thu, Mar 27, 2008 at 10:25 PM, Eric J. Hoffman < ehoffman@ejhassociates.com> wrote: ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more -----

Uploading to a file hosting site.   One sec Nat and I'll have the link.  It's the SAME file that Adobe offered as a trial download so there should not be a concern with legalities. I think you can still get the updaters.   Mike Chytracek Managing Partner Ignite Solutions p. 312.239.0032 c. 815.302.3507 f. 866.839.7896 Mike Eric - That would be awesome. Dave, I'm getting in trouble with the the project i'm working on. I requested a Cold Fusion 6.1 setup for windows and you provided it quicky by sending us a link to your site, authorized to distribute it. My problem is: since the target server is under Solaris, i need a linux CF 6.1 setup to install it on developpers' Linux VMware. Do you have a setup for linux environment as well as for windows? Thanks a lot in advance, Frank. ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more -----

I may have it, but I'm not sure. I'll have to check my CD collection when I return to the office. I'm out of town today, but will be back this weekend. Ping me offline if I haven't responded by Monday.
