Edition not changing from developer to standard

I am having an issue with CF8 64BIT (8.01) when I enter the serial number fo the standard edition we purchased, the serial number appears to be accepted, but the edition stays at developer.  Any ideas on how to resolve this?  I can just reinstall the trial version if that is the issue as we just installed it... but I would rather esolve it with the install we already have.
