Hi, I just tried to re-install CFMX 6.1 on my machine but it failed. The reason was that I wanted to change from the standalone installation to the JRUN4 installation. I uninstalled CFMX. Then ran the CFMX install and chose the second option which installs JRUN4 as well as CFMX. However then whenever I tried to use CF I got a JNDI error. I remember someone saying that there was some configuration stuff that is not completly removed by an uninstall and suspect that one of those is hanging around and pointing CF at the wrong place. Because I did not have the luxury of being without CF for any time I have ununstalled and reinstalled the standalone version. All OK again. Has anyone else here done this? Can anyone point me at what I need to fix during the install to stop this problem before I try again? Kevin Roche

Hi Kevin, I did it just the other day. After uninstalling the CFMX standalone I got rid of the CFUSIONMX folder and made sure the entries in IIS for processing .cfc, .cfm etc were removed. Installed JRUN/CF on it's own, connected to IIS and it works great, Jb. Hi, I just tried to re-install CFMX 6.1 on my machine but it failed. Hi John, Oh well maybe I just have to try again. The only thing I did not do was remove the entries in IIS so I will try doing that. They did seem to change so I dsicounted that as the problem. Hi, Well I think I discovered what it was. After the install and before trying to connect the web server, I found that a reboot was required. When I did the reboot I found the JNDI problem went away.
