Author: Nando Short Link: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/thread.cfm/threadid:32098#161090 If you are specifically looking for a webservice, i'm using one from xmethods: <CFINVOKE WEBSERVICE="http://www.xmethods.net/sd/2001/CurrencyExchangeService.wsdl"              METHOD="getRate"              RETURNVARIABLE="myRate">       <CFINVOKEARGUMENT NAME="country1"                         VALUE="Euro"/>       <CFINVOKEARGUMENT NAME="country2"                         VALUE="United States"/> </CFINVOKE>    <cfoutput>DollarsPerEuro Rate from Xmethods: #myRate#</cfoutput> I watch it by wrapping it in a try / catch block and having it send me an email whether it succeeds or fails. I also found that once in a great while, it was returning a negative value, so now i also check to see if it's positive and only update the exchange rate on the site if it is. Otherwise i stay with the old value. It's free for one rate - i just can't remember where i found the list of countries supported.
