hey everyone. i have a site where i display photos in a cfloop. i create the query to loop through using cfdirectory. i just switched hosts and the new host does not allow the use of cfdirectory. can anyone suggest an alternative to cfdirectory that might fit well in this situation? thanks very much.

Most hosts provide their own version of CFDirectory, atleast mine provider disabled those tags, however does have a CFX_ tag that allows me to do the same things as CFDirectory. Other than that, there is no much I can think of. Maybe someone else can. hey everyone. i have a site where i display photos in a cfloop. i create the query to loop through using cfdirectory. i just switched hosts and the new host does not allow the use of cfdirectory. can anyone suggest an alternative to cfdirectory that might fit well in this situation? thanks very much.   _____

Is there cfftp, and do you have ftp access to your environment? (cfftp can get a directory listing) Is there php, perl, or some other technology you could use? (you could use one of these other to get the dir list, and use cfhttp to get the list into CF Is there cffile? How often do you update the list of photos? (you could read a pre-made file list from a .txt file) Just some thoughts, Jerry Johnson >>> wurst@rti.org 04/29/04 03:18PM >>> hey everyone. i have a site where i display photos in a cfloop. i create the query to loop through using cfdirectory. i just switched hosts and the new host does not allow the use of cfdirectory. can anyone suggest an alternative to cfdirectory that might fit well in this situation? thanks very much.
