Beyond that, I dunno. -- Damien McKenna - Web Developer - Damien.McKenna@thelimucompany.com The Limu Company - http://www.thelimucompany.com/ - 407-804-1014 #include <stdjoke.h> ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more ----- To the best of my knowledge, Flash can only display content in Flash or Flash Video format. If you want to display video in Flash, I'd recommend that you convert it to Flash Video first. Dave Watts, CTO, Fig Leaf Software http://www.figleaf.com/ Fig Leaf Software provides the highest caliber vendor-authorized instruction at our training centers in Washington DC, Atlanta, Chicago, Baltimore, Northern Virginia, or on-site at your location. Heres a free Flash video player that I use for development purposes. If you need something like this, but a little different, let me know and I might be able to help you out. http://www.martijndevisser.com/archives/000001.php Cheers, Kevin // --------------------------------------------- K n o w l e d g e E n a b l e d S y s t e m s // WEB :: http://www.keslabs.com CRD :: http://crd.keslabs.com ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more ----- Thank you to everyone who posted > Heres a free Flash video player that I use for development purposes. I just need to tweak it to load the flash movie from a url (passed by a page variable) instead of a desktop drag and drop thing ... time to learn flash I guess... I was going to just use quicktime to convert the movies (mov and 3gp) to flash video till I figured out the flv converter in quicktime was demo only :-/. I'll check out the converter you posted too, but I am using Mac, and I'll need something that I can script (automator, shell, or whatever) This player is a good find cheers Kevin -- ~Blog~ http://www.robrohan.com ~The cfml plug-in for eclipse~ http://cfeclipse.tigris.org ~open source xslt IDE~ http://treebeard.sourceforge.net FYI, I owed you one... =] To accomplish loading video online, please be aware that: Flash 6 - Only Progressively downloads the video which is alot like 'fake' streaming. The only way to stream video to 6 is with Flash Comm server. Flash 7 - Uses real streaming and doesn't require Flash Comm Server.
