Spry Eclipse Plugin?

I mentioned this to Mark the other week, he thinks all that needs to be done Adam Haskell 05/13/2008 07:17 PM

Author: Adam Haskell Short Link: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/thread.cfm/threadid:51420#305208 I mentioned this to Mark the other week, he thinks all that needs to be done is to build cfEclipse through 3.4. Give it a try and tell him. Adam Haskell ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more -----

Author: denstar Short Link: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/thread.cfm/threadid:51420#305057 3.4 hasn't been released yet, but it's getting close. I've been using 3.4M6 ( http://phoenix.eclipse.org/packages/ ), the EE package, and it's wonderful. Some great improvements have been made in many places. I think cfeclipse needs to be installed as a "drop in", which is the new way of installing plugins the old way (much cleaner). Holler if you've got any questions.  There's a link for equinox somewhere around here (the new plugin update manager). denstar ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more -----

With that, CF studio will become just another text editor (though awesome). I think the only other thing I use it for is the change tag case feature... Nope. Eclipse just plain destroys dreamweaver, from a coder's perspective. I'm liking JSDT for Eclipse javascript development.  W00t3rZ! And Eclipse 3.4 has a WYSIWYG HTML editor, for those pesky table-based layouts. But, no, there is no question in my mind, Eclipse is where it's at. Even if both were free (as in beer) and open, I'd be using Eclipse. Denny

Author: Aaron Roberson Short Link: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/thread.cfm/threadid:51420#276468 Just downloaded JSEclipse. However, I really am beginning to wonder about the trade-off between Eclipse and DW. There are soo many very helpful features in DW that really speed up my work flow (I'm not just talking about wysiwyg and wizardry stuff). I am kind of feeling like I moved to Eclipse just because everyone else was doing it - though I have grown to like many things about it, but I can set my preferences in DW to behave the same way. Really, are we throwing the baby (DW) out with the bathwater (commercial license)? -Aaron
