Has anyone used hostingatoz's coldfusion hosting service and your experience? Thanks.

I've used them briefly. In about a month, they were down around 4/5 times, for 24 hours periods, they often put random mappings on the server that caused framework issues, and had a remarkably unresponsive support team. So yeah, they are value for money ;o) you don't pay any money, you don't get any value. I have a couple of clients with sites there.    It's a good budget service.   You get what you pay for, though.    They are attentive in support issues, although i think since it's a small outfit, they are not able to provide a 24/7 support service.   However their .hours of operation work fine for me here in Australia so that's not an issue. Also they have a support guy in another time zone to help cover the clock. They aren't CF8 though - only CF7 Enterprise. They are very CF friendly, knowing what we need even though they dont use CF themselves for choice. Why are you sorry? (I'm in NZ at the moment working on dialup - i'm not crusing all my sites these days, only dealing with issues as they are notified to me. I'll be cruising my sites again next week when i get home.) If they've installed CF8 thats great news then.  Cant have been long ago though. I would stay away from them. It can take 2 hours for them to deliver email, their servers go down all the time, their communication is very poor. And I reckon it's one many in a garage somewhere. How long ago was that? I have a php site with them, the mail can take awhile but it is dependant on the mail server load? Haven't noticed too many problems lately, the only problem was one site was down for a few days because it wasn't renewed otherwise it isn't too bad. But hey, like people are saying you do get what you pay for. With my php site they have been very good, but on some issues they have taken a long time... I guess it depends on what they consider a priority... On Thu, Apr 24, 2008 at 7:51 PM, Dale Fraser <dale@fraser.id.au> wrote: ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more -----

Hey Mark... hmmm I was actually asking Dale... But seeing as you posted that, I can safely say that since then they did have a major overhaul of their servers. But... They are cheap, and you really do go what you pay for. On Thu, Apr 24, 2008 at 8:29 PM, Mark Mandel <mark.mandel@gmail.com> wrote: > I think it was mid last year. > > Mark

Those email problems are happening right now for a user I setup on this service, he companied just days ago that it takes hours for mail to get delivered and he wants out. About 6 months ago I had CF server down for 2 days, no explanation as to why or how long it would take, then it was fixed and no explanation of what the problem was. The service I found to be very slow also, servers in the US somewhere, probably in a garage on the end of a cable connection. I can get better quality than that putting a server at the end of my home ADSL. Regards Dale Fraser How long ago was that? I would like you to put as many clients as they have on the end of a DSL connection. Intersting though, I have seen mail come thourgh instantly from my php site:-) Oh wait a minute, I set those domains to use google mail. Doh. ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more ----- Thank you all for your inputs.  I'm wondering if there's any company in West VA or SW VA, SE VA or Kentucky that offers cf8 hosting service.  I hope this kind of business are still make some money.

Ok, here's another one, located in OK, hostfolio.com.  If sufficient interest exists I'll consider to create a quick/dirty (single-liner) app to rate each one...

I've been with them for about 9 months now. Excellent customer service and always willing to work with you. Seriously, I have no complaints save for when they upgraded to CF8, my sites were down for a few days... But it was cleared up somewhat fast. I'd say go there and tell william I referred you. I have been using yohost.com for a few years. Brett and Laith have been great and very responsive. I started out of CF6 and now on CF8 and has been nothing but great service/support. >Has anyone used hostingatoz's coldfusion hosting service and your experience? > >Thanks. I am hosting 2 personal websites with hostingatoz.com for about one and half year. I would rate them good value for the money. You may find a few reviews about them at http://www.google.co.in/search?q=hostingatoz+reviews&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a
