I use CFEclipse with no problems.  Not a big fan of CFBuilder. Eric Roberts 05/07/2012 01:21 PM

Since it hasn't been mentioned yet, I would also recommend giving Intellij Matt Quackenbush 05/07/2012 01:45 PM
So there are large line number issues with most.. My backup is a old Brian Thornton 05/07/2012 02:17 PM
When I need to do some quick editing I use Notepad++ on Windows or Textwragler Guust Nieuwenhuis 05/07/2012 03:23 PM
I'm with Matt, IDEA is great. In many ways, big and small, it increases my Dave Merrill 05/12/2012 11:41 PM

It was quite a change for me, having used CFE/CFB for many years, but I doubt I could switch back, now. http://www.jetbrains.com/idea/ On Mon, May 7, 2012 at 12:40 PM, Cameron Childress <cameronc@gmail.com>wrote: ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more -----

When working on projects I use CFBuilder for all the ColdFusion specific features like Server management, tailview, extensions, ... Don't forget that CFBuilder has a free express version! In many ways, big and small, it increases my productivity and code quality, and just improve the experience of coding all around. It's not without its warts, but it's improving all the time. I'd never go back. Dave Merrill > > Since it hasn't been mentioned yet, I would also recommend giving Intellij > IDEA a shot, *especially* if you work in other languages, too. Author: Rick Faircloth Short Link: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/thread.cfm/threadid:63898#351126 I've considered IDEA. Is it overkill or, rather, heavy on features that aren't usable for someone who codes in HTML, CF, jQuery, CSS 5 and does no pure JS app coding or mobile apps coding. I code hybrid web apps. IDEA just seems to be too heavy on the JS side for my work. I'm not looking so much for language support as an IDE that works they I want. There's not one under the sun that I've found so far, even after 15 years of searching. I'm with Matt, IDEA is great. In many ways, big and small, it increases my productivity and code quality, and just improve the experience of coding all around. It's not without its warts, but it's improving all the time.
