He/She should possess the discipline of meeting strict deadlines in an Agile environment with Scrum. Developers make daily use of strict OOP designs in JavaScript, with emphasis on the Ext.JS framework by Sencha. Strong communication skills are a must. Ideal candidates will be hands-on user interface developers / designers who are able to jump in and make a difference immediately. Candidates must have five years of experience with JavaScript, demonstrated experience with CSS/HTML, and work well in a fast-paced, open, team-oriented environment. Experience with ColdFusion and Java, a plus. Essential Requirements include: • Expert level JavaScript development capabilities • Demonstrated understanding of JavaScript based client development/design with hands-on experience using JavaScript frameworks like Ext.JS (experience with Ext.JS a big plus) • Strong understanding of AJAX, DOM manipulations, JSON, Event Handlers/Models, along with a thorough understanding of CSS and HTML • Advanced knowledge of OOP designs and concepts • Experience working with RESTful web services. • Experience with high performance web page optimization techniques • A demonstrated understanding of rapid prototyping & agile development cycles • Expert knowledge of browser DOM and cross-browser/platform compatibility issues • Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Participate in daily stand-up meetings following Agile/Scrum methodologies. • Debug and test all work. • Gather feedback from design and technical staff on application development needs. • Assist in Sprint Planning and Application design sessions. • Create prototypes and functional specifications for software projects as requested. • Meet with engineering personnel on specifics of projects, new technologies, and deadlines. • Determine new Web technologies to utilize, such as browsers, languages, and plug-ins, based on company's needs. • Make suggestions on creating Web-based technical standards for specific applications and the company as a whole.
