UDF's for forms with JavaScript

Hey,
I am thinking about building a udf library of commonly used form fields
(firstName, lastname, SSN). One of the things I am looking to do is have it
so you can tell it to do all of your form field verification. I was
wondering if the onSubmit trigger would be able to call javascripts that
were inside the form tags and not in the headers. Also is there a way (in
ie and Netcrap) to get a list of all the javaScript functions contained on
the page?? I was thinking that if I could do that then I could set up
something that ran them all and only when they all returned true let the
form submit. Just an idea.
