Could people give me some feedback on this new layout attempt? www.houseoffusion.com/news Targets are: 1. wider content window 2. standardized section name (the news bar) 3. new design for side bar (will be clickable to open/close and hopefully done without the gaps) 4. standard banner on top and to the right side (rather than bottom and left) 5. standard footer options (should they be moved?) 6. tall banner is right aligned totally to not interfere with content I still have to move the FAQ button onto the yellow bar next to resources. How does the signin button grab you. How would you like it changed? color, location, options, etc. Any and all feedback is appreciated. Thanks

I like the wider content windows.   I'd like to either see the sign in button as part of the nav (And make it vanish once the user signs in) or put the whole sign in form as part of the header  ( also vanishing once the user signs in ).   The "Interland" ad on the home page is making me cringe.  I hope they aren't the same company I worked with ~4 years.   Otherwise, no comments. >    I like the wider content windows. That'll go in no matter what. More space is better for all. The exact size is designed to allow people on 640x480 browsers to miss nothing (other than the tower ad). Content has to be king here. >   I'd like to either see the sign in button as part of the nav (And make it > vanish once the user signs in) or put the whole sign in form as part of the > header  ( also vanishing once the user signs in ). That's the big question. Where to put it and how to represent it without being obtrusive. I'll work more with that in particular. >   The "Interland" ad on the home page is making me cringe.  I hope they > aren't the same company I worked with ~4 years. If you don't think that interland is reputable, then I'll block it as an ad. I only want reputable and relivant ads on the site (ok, the jewish/muslim google ads are a special case because of the section) ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more ----- resources. > >How does the signin button grab you.
