Mid-Level Java Developer in Boston

Position: Software Developer Job Description Development of new software products using Java/J2EE technology in a BEA Weblogic environment. The selected candidate will be a hands-on participant in all parts of the development life cycle, from requirements analysis, to design, programming, implementation and release. Qualified applicants must have strong J2EE development skills and excellent communications skills. Candidates must be self-motivated and willing to work in a dynamic, fast pasted, and team-oriented development environment. Required Qualifications * A minimum of 2 years of experience in J2EE technologies including EJBs, Servlets, MVC/Struts and JSP * Must have specific development experience with front end, middle tier and back end components * Must have experience developing on a Weblogic platform * Relational Database experience preferably with Oracle * Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences * Ability to meet schedule commitments and deadlines Desired Qualifications * Commercial software development experience desirable * Enterprise software integration experience a plus * Webservices experience a plus * Power / Utility Industry experience a plus * Good knowledge of change control management, software development cycles, design methodologies * BS/MS in computer science or related field Please contact shawn@jvtadvisors.com for more info
