EMAIL RESUME TO eric@advantagetech.net TITLE:  GUI Java Developer LOCATION:  McLean, VA DURATION:  6 month contract-for-hire Our client is currently seeking a GUI Java Developer that will report to the Manager of Engineering.  Candidates must be a US Citizen and able to pass a Federal Background investigation. PURPOSE OF JOB: Through best of breed customer service, work within a matrixed organization on a dedicated team as you build the next generation of scalable Human Capital Management software. You’ll work with Oracle 10g, Tomcat, Java 1.5, JSP’s, XML, HTML, DHTML, CSS and Web 2.0 technologies in a true software development environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Create, update and maintain products that are responsible for millions in revenue per year Work with Product Management and Business Analyst creating GUI mockups Create, modify and maintain GUI and Web interface for different applications using HTML, DHTML, CSS and JSP’s Diagnose and troubleshoot product issues REQUIRED SKILLS: ·    Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer management and science ·    At least three years of Java programming experience Experience with JSP, HTML, DHTML, CSS, Oracle and template engines such as FreeMarker, Velocity etc., Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Superior problem solving skills Analytical skills – Ability to assess a situation quickly from a non-biased point of view, and determine the most beneficial resolution for all parties involved. Organization skills – Ability to track unresolved issues and bring them to resolution is essential. The ideal candidate will take the initiative to follow up and, if necessary, escalate issues in order to bring them to a conclusion. PREFERRED SKILLS: Preference for experience with secure government information systems, Human Capital Management systems, and/or ERP systems.
