Direct Placement Java Opportunity

There is currently an Sustaining Developer position available in the Kansas City area.  The position will mainly consist of providing customer support for a company's international client base and developing maintenance releases for personalization & mobile Internet solutions. Duties & Responsibilities: -Troubleshoot customer problems -Develop ClixSmart Product maintenance releases -Develop bug fixes for customer problems -Develop monthly support reports for all customers -Maintain the support section of the intranet -Answer customer questions -On-going input to processes & product improvements -Assist in building strong customer relationships -On-Call support Qualifications: -Degree in Computer Science or equivalent Required Skills: -Java programming, candidates must demonstrate a desire to reach expert status in Java development -Candidates should have excellent customer service skills -Self-motivated, strong problem solving and analytical skills -Good knowldege of Internet technologies (e.g. Servlets, JSPs, HTTP, XML, XSLT) -Capable of working independently or in a team environment -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Capable of working to tight deadlines when required Desirable Skills and Experience: -Technical Support -Knowledge of Personalisation and Artificial Intelligence -Experience working with customers in different regions -Java and shell scripting -Unix -Oracle -Experience of various application servers *Some travel may be required *Excellent benefit package included Please contact Lindsey Vosters at lvosters@teksystems.com
