I've come sooooo close to having solutions, even coding some myself, but haven't been able to get satisfactory performance on both iPhones and Android phones. Does anyone know of a solution (plugin) for this, or perhaps a self-coded solution that I could pay for? Cash or wish-list? Thanks for *any* feedback on this one. I've been working on this for two weeks! I can't believe, with all the advancement we've had in technology, that there is no solution that will play a sound track and show a still image on both iPhones and Android phones... unbelievable! Thanks! Rick Let me chew on this .I've got an idea or two. I had something working perfectly that I hand-coded, using CF and jQuery, then found that jQuery's sound.play() command wasn't working well on the phones. Played perfectly (sound track per image) on the desktop, but the first time I tried it on my Android Fascinate, three slides would play, then everything would stop, until I hit "Stop" and "Play" again, then the last slide's sound track would repeat and two or three more slides would play, then everything would stop again. I read that the starting and stopping issue was most likely related to mobile Safari's settings to stop Javascript from being auto-started. And any code that has too much of a "break" (for lack of a better term) would be seen in mobile Safari as a new initialized Javascript function and it would shut it down, forcing me to resort to requiring users to manually play every slide. Not an option I want to force on folks. Then I found that .mp3's aren't easily usable in all formats (how long have .mp3's been around!!!!)... All the plug-ins I looked at typically use Flash with a fallback to HTML5, which isn't ready for primetime in terms of universal compatibility. My headache grew more intense with each passing day... And I don't even need an interface. I was designing an autoplay slide show for real estate, just for playback, at this point, on mobile phones, iPhone and Android. But I couldn't even make both of those happy. So, I'm still searching... Thanks for the feedback, Ray... let me know if anything pops into your noggin'! :o) Rick No I lie - nothing. Check their docs, but they have a 'support' index which shows exactly what devices they support and how well. Yes - Flex/AIR would let you do stuff like reading from the files on the device and doing other stuff as well. I'll be honest - I really like both approaches and see benefits/negatives in both. > > What about jQMobile?
