Tired of searching anyone doing this with jQuery Mobile?

Anyone using jQuery Mobile and able to us some of the functionality of the code without using the UI design? I have my own ideas about UI design that I prefer, but would like to use some of their touch functionality, etc. Or is there a way to emulate some of the touch functionality, etc., in regular jQuery? Well, remember,almost all of the markup should be "disable-able" (horrible word). Check the docs, but you can turn things off like form updates, etc, button changes. ----- Excess quoted text cut - see Original Post for more -----
