Dynamic content within MachIII'm currently working on designing a site using CFMX 6.1 that will display content dynamically depending on session variable values. I am implementing the MachII framework with this site, but am having trouble deciding how the handle the dynamic pieces of my design. For example, I have a CFML page consisting of buttons that are displayed based on <cfif> statements that use session variables for decision-making. This 'buttons' page is included into a main template using a <cfinclude> tag. To stay true to the MVC pattern, I would need to remove the <cfif> statements from my 'buttons' page view to keep 'presentation' and 'logic' separated. I've read in best practice articles that CFCs should never be used to output content. How can this be accomplished if CFCs, the building block for the Model in the MachII framework, are not meant for displaying output? Would a custom tag be the best approach here? Any insight on this would be much appreciated.
