Comparing Coldfusion 8 vs ASP NETThanks Mike.. The side by side is only a part of the whole report. I'm including a 'disclaimer' before the chart that at current revision says this: "The items listed blow are examples of some of the major and most commonly used features. A few things to keep in mind when reading the list is that although the features is implemented in both platforms the programming methods and user interfaces of each products IDE* can effect how quickly projects can be developed. ColdFusion consistently promotes the quick coding of the CFML programming language it's product in any IDE. Microsoft's Visual Studio also provides access to the chosen programming language through its IDE. I the case of Visual Studio, in depth knowledge of the programming language is required to make use of the IDE. With Dreamweaver or Eclipse, ColdFusion handles the 'heavy lifting' interaction with the base programming language and provides an easy method to implement the same functionality or features." - Joel > You can get an add-in for PDF support, although it isn't built in > unless you use Reporting Services.
