SR Application Engineer Position APPLY NOW!!Clearance: • Must be able to obtain a DOD Security Clearance Location: • USA-VA-Arlington Experience: • Architect, configure, deploy and administer web application infrastructure in a highly virtualized environment with predominantly Microsoft Windows 2003 architecture Applications include IIS/.NET applications, Oracle WebCenter (BEA AquaLogic User Interaction), Oracle Access Manager (Oblix CoreID), Lotus Notes, UNIX (Apache) and Apache Tomcat web servers • Create and maintain detailed installation and configuration documentation and architecture diagrams • Retain current knowledge of DoD security and technical guidelines and the organization's software development lifecycle • Provide Tier III support for production applications, and maintain in-house development and test environments • Occasional after-hours support is required for maintenance and upgrades • Work closely with vendors, customers, users, developers and team members to solve problems • Lead project teams for complex technical projects • Provide technical expertise and innovative approach to developing technical solutions and problem solving • Develop and contribute to the organization's process improvements efforts Education: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and seven to nine years of related experience Required Qualifications: • Working knowledge and experience with the following technical areas: • Web Server configuration and security (IIS and Apache) • .NET Framework and .NET application configuration • Web Services configuration or SOA technologies • Oracle WebCenter Portal (formerly BEA AquaLogic User Interaction) • Public Key Infrastructure • Oracle Access Manager (formerly Oblix CoreId) • Basic Windows Server administration and Active Directory concepts • VMWare Infrastructure • Strong communication and documentation skills - ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to include high-quality technical documentation and diagrams • Ability to lead large scale technical projects teams • Ability to provide technical and project management guidance to less experienced team members • Ability to define and implement processes based on DoD guidelines, organizational policies, and industry best practices • Ability to work in a fast-paced, technically challenging and dynamic environment • Ability to apply analytical skills, problem solving and attention to detail • Comp TIA Security+ Certification or ability to obtain within six months of employment Desired Qualifications • Experience supporting full lifecycle software development projects and a demonstrable understanding of the accepted practices of software development life cycle management • Experience with search engines, web analytics tools, UNIX, Lotus Domino a plus • Experience developing or implementing change control practices • Current knowledge of DoD Ports, Protocols, and Services (PPS), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGS) Contact Douglas Brownell at douglas@csioklahoma.com |
