One of the biggest things I miss when I switch back to CF from ASP.Net is
Master Pages. (hint hint adobe).

Current Visual Studio (even the express version) is light years ahead of
anything adobe has out there, although I have not see their latest IDE

You can get an add-in for PDF support, although it isn't built in

I'm no expert on this, but aren't the nodes just children of the particular
node you are on? So in your loop, can't you use . notation to get at the
children, something like:

node.cake
node.cake.filling

etc...?
