Get data not passed to form

Hi folks I have a html page that has a series of links such as. <a href="email.cfm?email=rob"> <a href="email.cfm?email=kim"> the email.cfm form then has a email contact form that sends the email to rob or Kim using a series of if statements such as: <cfif email is "rob"><cfset emailsender="rob@voyle.com"> The process has worked well for several years, recently the email.cfm form is no longer reading the "email" variable and the email is being sent to a default. I have reloaded the pages cleaned out the cache etc. but can't get it to work.  I know the hosting company has done recent upgrades and I am wondering if the GET format has changed.
