I've just completed the initial testing for framework version 2.3
beta. The significant changes since version 2.0 are the elimination of
support for ColdFusion 5, and the revision of several key freamework
features which no longer need to support that

Hmm... that could be bad if one of the tutorials when properly implemented causes the pluginmanager to not function properly... I wonder if I can reproduce that...

Got smart and blew away the ontap framework in which I'd been doing the
exercises found in the docs, downloaded everything from FusionTap and
started fresh.

Now I'm watching the PluginManager which is currently at step 6 of 9...

I'm running CF 5.0 under IIS 5.0 on XP Professional.

I had read somewhere that the OnTap framework was backwards compatible, but I'm guessing not THAT backward...

You've got a couple of options (in order of my own preference):

1) create a foreign key constraint between the categories and items
tables - the framework will then automatically pick up the constraint
and make the appropriate join when those 2

That's the correct behavior at the beginning of that tutorial... You
create the web-accessible template, then view the page and it shows
the framework's "file not found" page, then you add the process
templates and refresh the page and it shows the

This build has solved the .svn directory problem for me. As a side
note, you might want to set up the _preapp.cfm file definition of
request.tap.href.root to account for port numbers since a lot of
developers are developing against cfmx, cfmx7, & bd
