I'm feeling rather like Major Tom today. For a long time the onTap
framework public site has been running in development mode, largely
because I've never been entirely happy with my ability to flush the
cache of my blog messages. The blog itself although I still use it has
turned out to be a failure I think. It was fairly experimental after
all.
The blog should be less important now that I've just launched
some new forums on the site. These forums have taken me about two weeks
of actual work to build, including email subscriptions, RSS and a number
of general user-interface features. I decided at the same time to put
the public site into production mode and have been quite astonished at
the rather dramatic improvement I see in request times when I do this.
I hope everyone else enjoys the new speed, and I hope everyone enjoys
the new forums.

Fantastic, Mr. Ike !!!
The new searchable forums are by far beating Your old blog !!
I have actually given up the approach of gathering info - that is not contained
in the official docs - from Your blog or the HouseOfFusion onTap mailing list.
Are there plans to compress valuable info from the old blog/HouseOfFusion onTap
mailing list
and make it available in the new forums or in additional docs ?
Will the HouseOfFusion onTap mailing list be retired and replaced by the new
forums ?

Great! I'm glad to know you like the new forums. :)
Sorry it's taken me a day or so to respond. I've been busy trying to
resolve the inevitable bugs (in the forum) which crop up with any new
application. And of course I now have plenty of forum posts to respond
to. I am rather flattered and excited by your enthusiasm. :)

As of yet there's been little activity on the HouseOfFusion list, so
there wouldn't be much information to gather from that source. My plan
however was to synchronize the new forums with the HouseOfFusion list
in some way, so that messages posted to the mailing list would be
imported regularly into the forum and vice-versa messages posted to
the forum would also be posted to the mailing list (as my blog entries
have been). The blog has had quite a few entries, although I'm not
certain if I want to retire it. I might just keep the blog for
historical purposes or I might actually build a new version of the
blog application with a better user-interface and using a database on
the back end (instead of the cf-template storage it uses now).
