SQL Full-text search on Spectra content?

Not so much the SQL searching capability (we use Oracle), but definitely direct
SQL either from CF or with stored procedures directly into the properties (and
occasionally, objects) tables. They do result in some significant joins, and
you'll need to be careful with your SQL, but it is quick and effective.

Has anyone used MS SQL's full-text search functionality to replace the
Verity searching in Spectra?
I'd be interested in how that works.
